How Many SAT 2 Subject Tests do you Recommend?

If you are applying to a school which requires SAT Subject Tests – I’d recommend taking three. If you take all subjects that you’re strong in, along with math (which is required by most schools), you’ll be good to go!

Two is the minimum, but three is even better – especially if you’re getting great scores! Remember: quality over quantity here. The most important thing is that you put up big numbers. It is much better to get a 750 in math and bio vs. getting a 600 in three other subjects. The point here is to focus on taking the tests that correlate with your strengths in the classroom and the subject areas you are highlighting in your application. Matching up your subject tests to your areas of interest in college is a recipe for success!
