There are two general rules to go by when picking a tests.

    1. Take Subject tests in areas you are really good at!  If you are rocking your French class or extremely good at chemistry, take that test!  You want to make sure you do well on that test and what better way than to take a test in an area where you are doing your best!
    2. Match your test to show off your abilities or knowledge in a subject.  If you are interested in Science and want to be scientist, take Math 2C and Physics. If you are Pre-Med, wanting to become a Heart surgeon, concentrate on the Biology tests.  If you are focused on international law, take the Spanish and History tests.  In other words, stick to your application’s script and follow it through on your subject tests.

Besides these two rules, there is another thing to consider. Take a test when you have just finished the class and did well on it!  In other words, if you just finished AP Physics and got an A, and it’s fresh on your mind…sign up and take that test immediately!

If you are unsure of what major you want or waffling on what subjects you would do your best in, we recommend Math1C and US or World History.  These will satisfy most schools requirements for Subject tests.
