I think I made a mistake by taking the SAT twice in middle school. I was cold and unprepared and didn’t get good scores. Now I worry that the college board will report these scores with the future ones to the colleges. Will it matter?

It’s my understanding that colleges don’t take middle school testing into consideration. Though your scores MAY still be valid by the time you apply, if they see that they were taken in 7th or 8th grade, they’ll only look at the ones taken in high school. Few if any children do well on SATs administered in middle school, so this isn’t something you need to worry about. From here, I’d use my guide on picking between the New SAT and the ACT  – then take the test which will lead to the best scores.
